		<description>Yeah, initially I didn&#039;t deinterlace.  But I did a test and discovered that the deinterlaced standard def DVD looked much better on my plasma set (50-inch, 720p) and looked just as good on my older CRT TV.  I don&#039;t really understand why that is and was surprised.  I expected that it would look low-res on the CRT.  I should mention that I have not tried this procedure since upgrading to MC 3.1.2 with the current version of Avid DVD by Sonic and Squeeze 5.  I will probably try it later today.</description>
